GO TO OUR TAG-ABLE MOSAIC

Every mother has a story. Every photo tells a story.

When you see a woman breastfeeding in public, how do you react? Happy? Uncomfortable? Intrigued? No matter the reaction, there is always a reaction. This is because we aren’t USED to seeing it around. We need to SEE breastfeeding everyday in order to understand and accept it.

The Mosaic Campaign is The Milky Way’s attempt to normalize images of nursing mothers. Becoming comfortable with pictures of a breastfeeding woman brings us one step closer to accepting breastfeeding as an everyday behavior that is welcome in our culture…anytime, anyplace.

To demonstrate that small actions have a big impact, we collected individual photos (submitted by mothers like you) of moms and babies and used them to create the larger image of DaVinci’s Madonna and Child. When this image goes live in March 2014, these moms will be able to tag themselves and share on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media outlets!

Be part of the Big Picture! Join the movement!

Not in this one? The next mosaic is Wonder Woman! All you have to do is pledge $20 to our cause and send over your photo! Your contribution will support our efforts to bring The Milky Way to theaters across the United States and keep this campaign moving forward.

Here’s how it works:

1. Click on the green button above that says “$20 to add your photo”.

2. Once you have donated, send your photo to [email protected].

3. Once we have enough photos, we will compile all the images to make up the Wonder Woman image shown above. Once it’s up, we will email and let you know! Then you can tag yourself and share it with your friends. Should be exciting!
